Khan Maak Procession
The groom's family arrives in a colourful procession bearing gifts and offerings. They may be playfully 'blocked' by relatives demanding gifts (silver chains, gold) before being allowed to pass — a lighthearted tradition.
Monk Blessing Ceremony
Buddhist monks chant sacred texts and bless the couple at the family home or temple. Merit-making activities such as offering food to monks bring good fortune to the marriage.
Rod Nam Sang (Water Pouring Ceremony)
Guests take turns pouring scented water over the couple's hands using a conch shell, offering spoken blessings for a long and happy marriage. A gentle, communal ritual connecting every guest to the couple.
Reception
A banquet featuring Thai dishes — pad thai, tom yum, green curry, and mango sticky rice. Live music or a DJ and heartfelt speeches round out an elegant evening.
