  1. Poprawiny (Pre-wedding Engagement Party)

    A celebratory party for family and close friends announcing the engagement. Expect vodka, pierogi, and bigos (hunter's stew).

  2. Oczepiny (Cap Ceremony)

    At midnight, the bride's maid of honor removes her veil and replaces it with a traditional married woman's cap (czepiec). The bouquet is then tossed. The ceremony marks the bride's formal transition into married life.

  3. Church Ceremony

    A Catholic wedding Mass with traditional liturgical rites, vows, and rings. Polish ceremonies often include a candle and a traditional blessing with the rings placed on the altar.

  4. Wedding Reception

    Polish receptions are multi-day affairs — dinner, dancing, midnight soup, and more. Guests are welcomed with bread and salt. Expect żurek, bigos, a roast, and a table groaning with food. Dancing to polka and contemporary music continues until dawn.
