Henna Night
A pre-wedding gathering where the bride and her female guests celebrate with henna application, songs, and dabke dancing. The mood is joyful and intimate, often held at the bride's family home.
Katb Al-Kitab / Nikah
The signing of the Islamic marriage contract in front of witnesses and an imam. Family elders recite prayers and Quranic verses. Modest dress is expected.
Wedding Procession (Zaffa)
Musicians lead the couple and their families through the streets or venue to the reception hall. Debke dancers in embroidered thobes and dresses perform along the way.
Reception & Dinner
A grand feast featuring mansaf (lamb on rice with jameed), musakhan, and a table full of meze. Live music, dabke dancing, and speeches celebrate the couple into the night.
